Launceston Folk Club

The Folk Club runs monthly concerts, featuring nationally & internationally acclaimed musicians across the folk, acoustic, blues, roots and singer/songwriter genres.

We also showcase upcoming and young musicians drawn from across Cornwall and Devon, giving them the opportunity to perform support slots alongside long established artists and play at showcase events.

We have a mailing list which will keep you up to date with forthcoming events and late changes – only a couple of emails a month. Use the button on the right (or below on a mobile) to sign up.

For a more interactive discussion and news we have a facebook group  and a YouTube channel – links at the bottom of every page.

If you fancy coming to more that the occasional gig it is well worth becoming a member for a discount on tickets and other benefits. Membership runs for 12 month from the date you join and there is an annual subscription. Use the button on the right (or below) for more details.

The programme flyer for 2023/2024 is shown below. Please visit the ‘What’s On’ page to see our upcoming concerts and links to book tickets.

About Us

The founders of Launceston Folk Club are all either musicians themselves, lovers of music, or both!

They also run a local organisation, ALFCIC, that sponsors the Folk Club and which supports those who need help recovering from trauma/PTSD, especially frontline workers, emergency service personnel and those with chronic health challenges & disabilities and supporting them back into work, to continue their current work, or find purposeful occupation.

In addition to providing fast and effective treatments for trauma/PTSD, Peer Support Groups, and Peer Support worker training, we like to provide activities and events that enable people to socialise, integrate in their local communities, and enjoy the simple pleasures of life, in this case music, which can be both therapeutic and uplifting.

We have combined our experience in this field with our love and experience of music to bring you the Launceston Folk Club. We like to be useful and collaborative in our communities and help make them healthy and sustainable. Hence, we invite partnerships and collaborations with local businesses and organisations that share our values and ethos.
